About the role
Who We Are
BOND is a rapidly growing private aviation company revolutionizing fractional aircraft ownership and private aircraft management, delivering an elevated and seamless flying experience for discerning clients. Supported by a landmark Bombardier fleet order, we are building a modern fleet of late-model super-midsize and ultra-long-range aircraft and assembling a team committed to operational excellence, safety, and white-glove service.
As we scale toward launch and long-term growth, we are seeking professionals who want to help build a next-generation aviation company and play a meaningful role in shaping how it operates from the ground up.
Return-to-Service Inspector
On-Site | Fort Lauderdale, FL
Role Overview
BOND flies Bombardier business jets for members who expect perfection, and that starts with aircraft that come back from maintenance with records that prove they are airworthy. Our aircraft are maintained by Bombardier and approved vendors. Making sure their work is documented to our standard is our job.
As our Return-to-Service Inspector, you are the person who makes sure nothing returns to service until the paper is right. You review every return-to-service package against our General Maintenance Manual, hold the aircraft until it is complete, and keep each aircraft's records true to the aircraft. This is a records and compliance role, not a hands-on wrench or inspection role.
This role is for an A&P who has spent real time on the records and quality side of business-jet maintenance, can spot a skipped task or a near-miss part number at a glance, and does not bend on standards when the schedule is tight.
What You'll Do
- Own the return-to-service package for every maintenance event, from work order and task cards to ADs, 8130-3s, 337s, and the logbook release entry.
- Hold aircraft out of service until the package is complete, and flag schedule risk to the Chief Inspector and Maintenance Control early, with specifics.
- Build the records side of new aircraft conformity packages so they go to the FAA complete.
- Verify that every release signer and RII inspector holds the right BOND authorizations, and keep those files current.
- Keep CAMP, the AFML, and aircraft records accurate and audit-ready for the FAA, ARGUS, and Wyvern.
- Compile the records behind Service Difficulty Reports and Mechanical Interruption Summaries.
- Support vendor audits and report discrepancies and trends the same day.
Required Qualifications
- Current FAA A&P certificate.
- 5+ years in business-jet maintenance, including 2+ years in records, quality, or return-to-service review under Part 135 or Part 145.
- Working knowledge of a GMM, a CAMP inspection program, and how airworthiness releases are earned (§135.443) and recorded (§43.9 / §43.11).
- Fluency with AD/SB compliance, life-limited items, 8130-3 traceability, Form 337, weight and balance, and logbook reconciliation.
- Ability to read OEM technical data (AMM, IPC, SRM).
- Clear, concise writing.
- Ability to travel 10 to 20%, including to Montreal.
- Ability to pass a background check and a DOT pre-employment drug and alcohol test, and to remain in the random testing program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bombardier Global or Challenger experience, ideally with OEM training.
- FAA Inspection Authorization (IA) and recent return-to-service sign-off experience.
- Experience assembling Part 135 conformity or aircraft-addition packages.
- CAMP Systems experience; familiarity with ARGUS, Wyvern, and IS-BAO audit standards.
