About the role
About the Role
Join a lean, senior team building a new internal product for an industrial real estate investment business. As the first product-focused engineer, you will own the frontend and create data-rich tools that help teams make better investment decisions.
What You'll Do
Own and improve the frontend codebase, establish a design system and reusable components, and ship new features.
Build user-facing experiences with charts, maps, and AI-powered insights for sourcing and leasing teams.
Work directly with internal users to understand workflows, gather requirements, and test prototypes quickly.
Use design and AI tools to explore product ideas, prototype interfaces, and help shape the roadmap with leadership.
Partner with backend and research teammates to develop products for additional business functions.
What We're Looking For
Four to ten years of frontend-heavy experience building and shipping production applications, including substantial product work from scoping through deployment.
Strong experience with React and Next.js, data-rich interfaces, visualization, charts, or maps, and design systems.
Experience building enterprise products and complete user-facing products, rather than only isolated components or consumer applications.
Comfort using Figma or similar tools and AI coding or design tools to prototype and deliver features quickly.
Strong product judgment and the ability to work independently with users and stakeholders to synthesize feedback and requirements.
A computer science degree or equivalent strong computer science fundamentals, along with a consistent engineering background.
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary: $225,000 to $275,000 annually. Candidates must have valid US work authorization. New visa sponsorship is not available; existing transferable visas are accepted.
Location
On-site in New York, New York, 4 to 5 days per week.
