We foster an inclusive, collaborative culture that supports professional growth, flexibility, and meaningful work, empowering our employees to make a lasting impact on our clients, communities, and the planet.

Woodard & Curran is seeking a dynamic, client-focused SCADA Controls Automation Project Engineer to join our Water Team, supporting projects across the New England Region, including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Connecticut. In this role, you’ll work with municipal and industrial clients to develop and implement complex, integrated automation and control solutions for water, wastewater, and remediation projects.

You’ll serve as a trusted technical advisor to clients, helping solve operational challenges, improve system performance, and deliver solutions that have a meaningful impact on their operations.

This role offers a strong combination of technical growth, autonomy, project ownership, and career advancement. You’ll lead increasingly complex projects, mentor junior staff, strengthen client relationships, and expand your technical and project leadership capabilities.

This position involves regular travel to job sites, typically within driving distance, leading SCADA project startups, participate in preconstruction and kickoff meetings, and support clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Who are we looking for:

The successful candidate will join a collaborative team delivering medium- to large-scale SCADA implementation projects for municipal and industrial water and wastewater clients. We’re looking for an experienced controls professional who can work independently, lead multidisciplinary SCADA projects, manage technical deliverables, and communicate effectively with clients and project teams. You’ll also mentor junior staff and contribute to the continued growth and improvement of our SCADA practice.
