About the role

LA28 does not provide relocation assistance for any positions. If you are based outside the Los Angeles area, we still welcome your application — we value talent from all geographic backgrounds and want to hear from you if you are able to work on-site in LA.

Role Purpose

You will shape the finance applications and operating practices that support LA28's Olympic and Paralympic Games preparations. Partnering with Finance, Procurement, People, and Technology teammates, you will turn business objectives into practical solutions across accounting, planning, reporting, and purchasing. The role combines product ownership, business systems analysis, and implementation leadership with responsibility for reliable daily operations. You will strengthen integrations and prepare support arrangements for increasing demands. Success requires sound judgment with incomplete information, collaborative decision-making, and integrity in managing systems that underpin financial controls.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead discovery, business and technical requirements, process designs, solution architecture, and implementation planning for finance capabilities, security, and integrations.

• Establish portfolio intake, governance, and transparent backlog prioritization across enhancements, defects, technical debt, dependencies, and release commitments.

• Coordinate implementations, integrations, upgrades, and Workday's semiannual releases, aligning configuration, data readiness, change management, testing, deployment, and post-production support.

• Oversee application support, incident resolution, root-cause analysis, service performance, documentation, and controls to minimize operational disruption.

• Prepare Games support models, cutover readiness, contingency planning, and operational transition, communicating roadmaps, risks, and decisions to senior stakeholders.

Required Competencies

• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive experience managing or delivering enterprise finance applications through product management, product ownership, or business systems analysis, or comparable roles.

• Deep functional knowledge of ERP, financial planning and reporting, procurement, and related integrations across enterprise finance platforms.

• Strong understanding of financial accounting, budgeting and forecasting, reporting, procure-to-pay, internal controls, and master data.

• Proven leadership of complex, end-to-end implementations across the full product lifecycle, including structured testing, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), release, and deployment.

• Experience managing roadmaps, portfolios, backlogs, sprint planning, dependencies, risks, budgets, and release cycles using Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.

Valued Experience

• Hands-on Workday Financial Management and Workday Adaptive Planning experience.

• Experience directing managed service providers, systems integrators, and vendors.

• Clear written, verbal, facilitation, and presentation skills across audiences.

• Strong problem-solving, process-design, and decision-making skills with attention to detail.

• Experience balancing competing priorities against defined service expectations.

What We Offer

• Shape finance systems that support preparations for the Olympic and Paralympic Games.

• Gain cross-functional exposure through partnership with Finance, Procurement, People, and Technology teammates.

• Develop transferable skills through complex implementations, operational readiness, and collaborative problem-solving.

• Contribute with teammates who value integrity, co-creation, pragmatic excellence, and shared success.
