About the role
About Echo
Echo delivers frontier-hardened software across the enterprise software supply chain.
Echo's containers, libraries, OS packages, VMs, and more are built and patched from source by agentic pipelines, and continuously vetted for supply chain threats. With us, developers and agents can build with secure-by-default software that's compatible with the tools and versions they already use.
We're looking for an AI Engineer to join our team and build the AI agents that build, patch, and secure Echo's artifacts at scale.
What you'll do
Architect and develop autonomous AI agents that build, patch, and validate Echo's artifacts (containers, libraries, and VMs), eliminating vulnerabilities at scale
Build the agents behind Echo Frontier, our vulnerability research product, using frontier models to find, validate, patch, and disclose vulnerabilities
Lead some of our biggest initiatives: explore and prototype cutting-edge AI techniques to tackle our hardest challenges, and bring them from concept to production with product and engineering teams
Monitor and evaluate our AI systems, with feedback loops that continuously improve accuracy, reliability, and performance at enterprise scale
What you bring
Required
5+ years of experience as a Software Engineer
2+ years of hands-on experience building LLM-based agents and working with AI frameworks
Low-level or research background, such as C/C++ and operating systems
Experience building, deploying, and scaling AI agents in production environments
Proficiency with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, for AI workloads
Strong problem-solving and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
Preferred
Experience in research or vulnerability research
Experience building evaluation frameworks for AI agents
Familiarity with software supply chain security
